Based on the Academy award-winning animated feature, this musical includes all the songs from the film and more. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. A great opportunity for families to introduce their children to the wonder of theatre.
July 28, 29 @ 7 p.m.
July 29 & 30 @ 2 p.m.
**Saturday, July 29th @ 2 p.m. will be sensory friendly. Although anyone can purchase tickets for this performance, it is designed specifically for children and adults with sensory-input disorders, autism, or other cognitive or developmental disabilities and their families and caretakers. At this performance, "house" rules will be relaxed - people may need to get up, move around, and even leave the theater during the performance. A quiet room will be available with sensory friendly toys for anyone who needs a break from the performance. Some of the technical elements will be softened to accommodate sensitive ears and eyes. Lights in the audience will remain lit at a dim level during the entire performance to allow safe movement in and out of the theater. Abrupt and loud sound effects will be lowered, but some audience members might prefer to use earplugs or headphones.
